RUST
Iron Made In Daylesford products come to you as raw metal which has began to rust. The interior has a ‘cold –galvanized’ finish to inhibit rust.
The exterior rust will develop over time, getting a darker and deeper colour. Once your item has rusted to your satisfaction, we highly recommend that it be sealed with ‘PENETROL’, which is available at hardware and paint stores. This will give a satin finish which will seal the surface and stop the rust.
Sealing your Iron Made In Daylesford product will greatly increase its longevity.

METAL POTS GET HOT!
If you are planting delicate plants, or placing you pot in full or afternoon sun, it is recommended that you line your pot with carpet underlay or similar, to stop root damage. You can generally pick this up at your local tip. Consult your nursery if unsure.

Where possible, Iron Made in Daylesford products are made with Australian BLUESCOPE Steel, and recycled steel, some of which is from the laser cutting industry. (These are subject to availability.)
All dimensions are in millimeters, +/- 5mm
We generally use 1.95mm mild steel sheet.
